About
The Michinoku Coastal Trail Luggage Transport Service is a service aimed at hikers who come to Japan with large luggage, and will transport only the luggage from one accommodation to another.By having your luggage transported from the lodging where you stayed the night before to the lodging where you check in on the day, hikers can enjoy the trail with light equipment.
Service area
- We can handle transportation between Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture in the north and Kesennuma City, Miyagi Prefecture in the south.
- This is a transportation service from the accommodation you stayed at the night before to the accommodation you will check in at on the day. Please tell us the name of the accommodation.
Reservations and cancellations
- Reservations are accepted up to 10 days before the transportation date. (If you need it sooner, please contact us.)
- We kindly ask that payment be made online in advance.
- Our cancellation policy is as follows:(An additional 8% credit card processing fee will be deducted)Cancellation fees:
- More than 21 days before the reservation date: No cancellation fee
- 8 to 20 days before: 20% of the total reservation amount
- 2 to 7 days before: 30% of the total reservation amount
- The day before: 50% of the total reservation amount
- On the day of reservation: 100% of the total reservation amount

Important Information Regarding Your Luggage
【About Your Luggage】
- One piece of luggage per person, with a maximum weight of 30kg.
- Please pack all your luggage together.
【Items We Cannot Accept】
- We cannot accept valuables such as passports, cash, or computers.
- Please do not attach umbrellas, walking sticks, or shopping bags to your luggage. (Additional charges may apply.)
【If You Have Multiple Items】
- If the number of items is large, we can discuss alternative shipping options.
【Cancellations and Changes】
- Day-of-service cancellation or no-show: No refunds will be given.
- Reducing the number of items or shortening the route after 5:00 p.m. the previous day: No refunds will be given.
- Increasing the number of items or extending the route: You will be required to pay the price difference as an additional fee.
- If we need to switch to a different luggage carrier:
- Your original reservation will be cancelled, and we will refund you the amount minus the cancellation fee.
- You will then need to make a new reservation and pay the new fee for the other luggage carrier.
